The cementing units are mobile units designed to perform cementing, fracturing, pressure balancing, extinguishing and acidizing operations at the wells.
Normally, the cementing units are mounted on ROMAN truck. On request, the cementing and fracturing Units can be mounted on skids, provided with traction and lifting facilities, or on the other type of chassis truck.
The Cementing and Fracturing Units are designed to perform the interchangeability of pieces and subassy.
The cementing units are equipped with a high pressure duplex piston pump that can develop the required pressure under discontinuous operating conditions.
The cementing units are equipped with a measuring tank, divided into two equal compartments, each compartment being provided with a level weir and valves for independent suction for the pluger pump and water pump.
Internally, the tank is protected against the corrosion.
For cementing operations, the cementing units are equipped wit jet mixer with 3 nozzles supplied with water by a gear pump. Water supply to the mixer is so conceived to provide parallel operation of one, two or all three nozzles, and assure 100 t. cement/hour.
The controls of the Unit are centralized and may be actuated from the platform located around the control panel. On the control panel are mounted instruments for checking the operation of the pluger pump and water pump, as well as instruments required to check the operation of the driving motor.

The manifolds of Unit insures:
- Plunger pump suction from each compartment of the measuring tank, from the slurry sump or from an outside source on both sides of the unit.
- Plunger pump discharge towards the well head or on free flowline to the measuring tank or externally. Discharge on free flow line is accomplished by a manual controlled adjustable nozzle which allows a slow and controlled reduction of pressur.
- Supply of each measuring tank compartment from an outside source as, and independent emptying of each compartment.
- Water pump suction from each compartment of the measuring tank and discharge towards the mixer with water distribution system towards the mixer nozzles and recirculation of excess flow to suction.

For checking the discharge pressure, the units are equipped with a gauge with Bourbon tube, with environnement insulator and vibration dampener, mounted on the discharge collector of the pump.
For protection against overpressure, the discharge manifold is provided with a shearing pin safety valve and the water pump manifold is provided with a spring safety valve.
For night operation, the Units are equipped with three 24 V lighting fixtures which can be aimed towards the place where visual control is required.
